Giving Someone the Benefit of the Doubt: Don't Take it Personally (Live)
View Post
We talk about giving someone the benefit of the doubt, how to take things less personally, how to not get defensive, and how to be responsive instead of reactive.

Giving someone the benefit of the doubt is one of the best things you can do for not only your relationship with this person, but also for your mental wellbeing.

When we take things personally - comments that we said in jest, innocuous remarks, or flat-out criticism (ugh, so rude!) - that can affect us for the entire day.

In this live stream conversation, we discussed:

  • how to do positive reframing (yep, have a lesson on this)
  • how to not take things personally
  • why we get defensive and how to avoid it
  • how to give someone the benefit of the doubt
  • why our default behavior should be kindness
  • how to respond and not react (check out this lesson)

See you in the next Explearning lesson and live stream!

Happy Explearning :)
